Summer Family Worship - 9:30 a.m.

This summer, beginning June 1, children who just completed grades 1 – 5 will join their family in the 9:30 service. Joining families together in worship provides great opportunities for parents and their children. Not only do children become familiar with the format of the adult worship service, but they also
- see Mom or Dad opening their Bible, singing, tithing, and listening to the pastor speak from God’s Word. Parents have the opportunity to model reverence and demonstrate their love for the Lord.
- connect to the church family through a shared worship experience.
- practice gleaning truth (though it may be only a little at first) from the message given each Sunday.
Taking a child to adult worship may seem like a challenge, but FBCW Kids wants to help parents in that endeavor. All children in grades 1-5 will receive
- a personalized canvas bag to hold their Bible, pens, and any other items they need for their worship time. Children should bring their bags each week!
- age-appropriate pages to correspond with each sermon. Parents and children should stop by the Kids’ Check-in desk to pick up their weekly Family Worship Page.
- Summer Family Worship stamp chart. Those children who fill out their weekly Family Worship Page during the service can take it upstairs to Kids’ Bible Groups at 10:45 to receive a stamp from their small group teacher. Kids who accumulate 5 stamps on their Summer Family Worship chart earn a reward!
